Design Blossoms Terms & Agreement

This agreement will keep us on the same page and guide us in a caring, fun and efficient work relationship.


1.             Complete a client questionnaire

2.             15-minute consult via skype, phone, or in person

3.             Assessment and custom questionnaire

4.             Book the package using a secure Squarespace payment link.

5.             After the aforementioned steps are taken, the creative process begins. See timeline and scope of work below for more information.

Privacy Policy

Design Blossoms uses the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards technology through Stripe to protect the privacy of the client when placing an online order. Purchasing your DNS hosting service and Squarespace subscription must be done by the client in order to maintain privacy. Any business information revealed to Design Blossoms will be kept confidential.

Rights & Releases

All Design Blossoms original logos, graphics and photographs, are original work. As such, payment for any design service is not made in accordance with the payment policies of Design Blossoms, then all the client's rights to the designs and photographs provided to them, including any trademark property, will immediately revert back to Design Blossoms.

It is the responsibility of the client to obtain permission to use any copy (including testimonials) any content or images given to Design Blossoms.

It is the responsibility of Design Blossoms to provide releases, permissions and licenses for images provided to the client.

Design Blossoms reserves the right to publish, or even re-sell the photographs unless the client purchases an extended license at an additional cost if the client wishes to keep the graphics and/or photographs exclusively.

Scope of Services


Design Blossoms will study the client questionnaires, ask questions and study the client’s target market and competitors to fully understand her business design needs.


Design Blossoms provides an optional face-to-face or phone consultation once a week, during regular business hours (M-F, 9-5). The rest of the communication can be accomplished through email or voicemail. Design Blossoms will reply to email/voicemail within 1-2 business days via email.

Logo Design

The client will collaborate with Design Blossoms to plan the desired design. Then, Design Blossoms will mesh the wishes of the client, with design/photography rules, branding rules, and artistic talent to create the best design.

Website Design
All web designs will be created using Squarespace themes as it provides a wealth of features and responsive design. Any special requests that require coding or plugins outside of this proposal will be given a separate invoice.

Copy Content: Design Blossoms gives guidance on appropriate copy content for a website. After that, any words or paragraphs should be written, proofread and edited by the client’s team. Design Blossoms is not responsible for any errors in the copy provided and does not make major edits after the webpage has been finished.

Revisions: The request forms or “questionnaires” help the client specify what they need from the designer so the design, page or photograph is what the client expected. If the client is not specific, the designer will use her creativity.

Proof #1: The first proof will be delivered to the client within 3-5 business days after receiving the image request form. Any changes that are the error of Design Blossoms shall be made. Changes that were not communicated in the request form can be requested at this point.

Proof #2: The second proof will be delivered within 1-3 business days after the revision is requested. Any additional revision requests at this point will be invoiced separately as an extra charge.

Final Image: If no changes are requested and the entire package has been paid in full, Design Blossoms will deliver the image file(s) to the client within 1-3 business days.

Clean Design: Ads and affiliate links are reserved for the bottom footer or blog sidebar but are not to interfere with the design of the homepage, especially not above the fold.

Designs are also subject to the rules of responsive design. Meaning, a design that looks great on a computer monitor, may not look great on an iPhone or iPad. Websites are not static and must be designed to look and act perfectly on any device.

Features: Design Blossoms and Squarespace offers a long list of website functions including but not limited to Adobe TypeKit fonts, video and video backgrounds, blogging, site and image SEO, galleries, opt-in forms, social sharing, e-commerce and products, analytics, search, and integrations with MailChimp, Amazon, Dropbox and Google Docs.

3rd party services like MailChimp or Amazon affiliate program must be set up by the client. Connecting these accounts is done by the client with support from Design Blossoms. The appropriate links are also provided by the client.

Features (services, widgets or code) not native or integrated with Squarespace are outside the scope of the package agreement. A separate invoice can be provided for these types of services so Design Blossoms can contract the specific task to their HTML/CSS developer.

Launch: Design Blossoms will test your website on various devices and browsers. Only updated browsers will be tested as Design Blossoms is not responsible for how the layout displays on old browser versions.

File Transfer: After any outstanding balance is paid, your images and graphic/image files will be provided to you for downloading along with the appropriate release/license.

It is the responsibility of the client to download the files within 4 weeks and to keep a backup on a separate hard drive or cloud storage.

Tech Support

·        Design Blossoms offers an optional 30-minute overview of the back end of your website.

·        Design Blossoms offers support for 4 weeks after your website is launched.

·        You may post blogs, edit copy content, but please do not manage the Style Editor without help from Design Blossoms so as not to undo the design work.

·        Corrections and tech support will be given. If new content or major editorial changes are needed, a separate invoice will be provided for any requests for additional support.


The client teams up with Design Blossoms to form a list of photographs needed. Design Blossoms takes into consideration the wishes of the client, then uses the correct color and composition to create the best images. Design Blossoms can photograph anything to which we have access. For example, Design Blossoms would not be able to provide a beach photograph since we are in Kansas. In addition, any items for product photography will be provided by the client and returned to the client by Design Blossoms within 3 weeks.

Late Policy

When a photo session requires an in-person appointment, the following late policies apply:

1.             Failing to show up for a photo session may cost the client 50% of the price of the package paid at booking. The remaining half payment will be applied to the rescheduled session/package or refunded.

2.             Showing up more than 15 minutes late may result in fewer images delivered in the final gallery. The quantity of images deducted from the packages will depend on how much time is lost.

3.             Product photography: Failure to provide all the products to be photographed may result in fewer images delivered in the final gallery.



The timeline allows for the website package to be completed in 4 – 8 weeks. However, if the submission of content or response to correspondence by the client is delayed, the timeline will also be delayed. Additional pages, photos or designs requested by the client may also lengthen the timeline. Extensive revision requests by the client will also delay completion of the project. Design Blossoms will respond to all emails from the client within 1-2 business days.

Additional pages, images or requests outside the scope of the basic package will be invoiced at the time of the request. The balance for these additional requests will be due within two weeks after the completion of the website, but prior to the website launch.


The client receives his/her fully edited and retouched digital images (with print release) for download 10 business days after the photo session providing all payments have been made in full.

The client receives her product photography gallery within 10 days of payment and/or the submission of this form. After approval of the photographs is received by Design Blossoms, the shop is built within 10 days. More than 10 photographs may require extra time.

If payment was made in full, the original photographs with print release will be provided in the form of a download

Logo Design

3-5 business days after the questionnaire and mood board are approved by the client, Design Blossoms will provide the design proofs. 3-5 business days after the proofs are approved by the client, the final design will be provided.

Billing and File Transfer

If after the complimentary consult and questionnaire are complete, the client does not wish to go forward with the project, no fee will incur. 

Upfront Payment: The package total is due before the design process commences. The benefit of upfront payment is that the client receives the image files as they are completed. Additional pages, graphics or other add-ons that are requested will be paid towards the end of the project.

Pay Half Now, Half Later: Half of the package total would be due in this case, before the design process commences. Images and files will be given at the end of the process, when the remaining balance is paid in full.

All corrections being completed and the final balance paid by the client, the website will go live and the image files and releases will be passed to the client.

It is the responsibility of the client to download the files within 4 weeks and to keep a backup on a separate hard drive or cloud storage.

Refunds & Cancellations

Either party to this Agreement may terminate the Agreement if the other party defaults in the performance of any of its material duties and obligations and the default is not cured within thirty days of the receipt of notice of said default, or if the default is not reasonably cured within said period, unless the defaulting party commences cure within said period and diligently proceeds to cure the default.

Payment will not be refunded if:

·      The client has given the final approval of your web design.

·      The client's business closes, changes its name, or changes its activity.

·      The client cancels for reasons unrelated to the work of Design Blossoms

·        If the client does not communicate with Design Blossoms for more than 3 weeks following the signing of this agreement.

Design Blossoms agrees with the terms & conditions of this Agreement and will deliver quality designs, photographs and services per the wishes of the client and scope of work and timeline of this agreement.
